“Shred like a pro.”
—Game slogan
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 (abbreviated as THPS3+4) is a skateboarding video game of the Tony Hawk video game series, developed by Iron Galaxy Studios and published by Activision.
It is a remake of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 in Unreal Engine with new features, and a successor to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2.
It was announced on March 4, 2025, with a release scheduled for July 11, 2025 (or July 8, 2025 for Early Access) on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and Microsoft Windows.
Overview[]
This game follows the same overall design mechanics as the previous remake, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, where the levels and Skaters are remade in Unreal Engine, along with some new features and songs. Create-A-Park and Create-A-Skater features have also been expanded.
New to this remake is New Game+, where the player, with high stats must complete harder challenges, and a new Level has also been added.
Prerelease Information[]
Following the release of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, Vicarious Visions was merged into Blizzard Entertainment in 2021. This caused remakes of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 to be scrapped according to a livestream by Tony Hawk himself.
In September 2024, Tony Hawk revealed that he had been "talking to Activision" again, saying he was "working on something with the studio."
Revelation[]

On February 20, 2025, Treyarch released the iconic Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 map Grind as part of their season two reloaded update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Inside the map there were screens everywhere showcasing the date 03.04.25 with a boarder heavily resembling Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2's logo.
On February 28, 2025, the official website was updated with a teaser saying "03.04.25.", while another image with Tony Hawk and other Pros were posted on social media. A listing for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 was leaked via a Singaporean rating board on the same day.
On March 3, 2025, on the day before revelation, the boxart and a screenshot was leaked, albeit blurred, along with a rumored July release date. On the same day, Tony Hawk appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, confirming a 3 + 4 remake[2].
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 was officially confirmed on March 4, 2025, with a release date for July 11, 2025 across various distribution channels including Tony Hawk's own social media pages. A demo will be released prior, if the game is preordered with the exception of the Nintendo Switch.
Bam Margera's Inclusion[]
Initially, Bam Margera, who first appeared in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 and hadn't appeared in a Tony Hawk game since 2007's Tony Hawk's Proving Ground, was not going to return for this game, likely due to his struggles with alcoholism and subsequent legal troubles since the mid-2000s. Margera himself confirmed this via a livestream on his Instagram account on March 7, 2025, saying that he was not approached by Activision for the game at all and didn't do any work related to it.
However, on March 25, 2025 during the The Live Club skating podcast, co-host Roger Bagley claimed that Tony Hawk contacted Activision and demanded to them to include Margera in the game.[3] In a interview with TMZ on April 18, Margera said that Activision has not contact him about appearing in the remake and that the "deadline" to add more skaters has passed; indicating that he wouldn't be in the game.[4] Despite this, on May 9, 2025, Bam was officially confirmed to be included in Pro Skater 3+4'. Trivia[]
- The "03.04.25" date teaser is a reference to the 3 + 4 remake of this game, and possibly the franchise's 25th anniversary as a whole, despite it being last year.
- This game contains the most professional skaters to be included in any Tony Hawk game, totalling up to 28 so far.
- It is unknown if Mike Vallely, who was a unlockable playable skater in the original version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4, will appear in the game.
