Private Carrera is a fictional character, first appearing in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. She appears as an unlockable secret Skater, who is unlocked via various methods between games.
She also appeared in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, except for the Dreamcast port and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2X where she is replaced with Trixie, with the same unique Tricks, but with different Deck Set designs. Carrera has reappeared exclusively in next-generation versions of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3.
Origin[]
A longstanding rumor within the community was that Private Carrera was named and modeled after adult film star Asia Carrera. According to Tony Hawk and elaborated on by former Neversoft developer Ralph D'Amato, Private Carrera was created by Neversoft character artist Noel Hines, and named after the Porsche 911 Carrera sports car (which was Hines' favorite car), and not the porn actress.[footnote 1][1] However, the designs for her skateboards, and the wording for her bio in THPS2 point towards her being one.
Upon hearing the rumors that the character was based on her, Asia Carrera would end up visiting the Neversoft office after being invited by Neversoft president Joel Jewett. According to D'Amato, many Neversoft employees were apparently thrilled to have Carrera visit the offices. [2]

She usually appears in a white top and green bottom clothes.
In Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, she also had her second outfit where she had a bathing suit on - a tan top and a green bikini bottom.

Private Carrera can only be unlocked by a Cheat Code, which can be opened on the Main Menu or Pause Menu by holding

When the cheat code is activated, she will replace Officer Dick (if he is unlocked) in the selection screen.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2[]
Private Carrera only appears in PlayStation and Nintendo 64 versions of the game.
To unlock her permanently, the player must complete all Gaps in the game, except for Chopper Drop and Skate Heaven.
However, Carrera is only available in the N64 version of THPS2 through a cheat replacing Officer Dick.(<-Prove this.)
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3[]
Private Carrera is unlocked by completing all Goals and Gold Medals in Career Mode, with five different Skaters. Getting a Gold Medal in all three competitions of Career Mode as Private Carrera will unlock the Kickflip Contest Video.
When Private Carrera is selected in a game mode, Rastapopolous says "I'm checkin' you out, checking me out".

- Private Carrera, along with Trixie are the only secret Skaters to not return in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2.
- In the Nintendo 64 version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, her age was changed from "barely legal" to "41".
- Carrera's stat points are called "demerit points" in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3.
- The design for the "Joystick" skateboard in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 appears to resemble a decal of an Atari 2600 controller from the late 70s.
- Based on her outfit in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, she appears to be a Navy officer.
- She is the only secret skater in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 whose outfit can be customized.
- Just like the other unlockable Skaters (with the exception of Officer Dick) in the original version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, Private Carrera did not return in its remake, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4.
