OpenSpy is a free replacement for the GameSpy service.

What is it for

It was created to support THUG1, THUG2 and THAW games that were out of service cause of official MOTD files removal. Since GameSpy was shut down, it is the only way to play those games online. Aside of Tony Hawk's games OpenSpy supports bunch of other titles that used GameSpy for online play.

What games are supported?

OpenSpy is meant to be an alternative for the now defunct GAMESPY service. It is in no way affiliated. If the game you played used GAMESPY to host games or list servers through it's DNS, chances are that it will work for you too! Below is a list of games that SHOULD be supported by OPENSPY, if they are not, please let me know. If you found that the game YOU play also works on OpenSpy, please inform me so I can add it to the list of supported games.

What are the DNS servers to connect to? (PS2)

(NOTE: EA games work the best for creating your online configuration. So load up any EA game if you have one and create your online configuration that way.)

1) When your in the setup, look for the step that is set at 'Auto/Automatically' change it Manual, if it does not make 2 new options (Primary and Secondary DNS IP) then put it back to auto until you find the correct one.

2) Change the primary address to the following:

Primary DNS IP to: 24.104.226.56

Will my mods have to change? (PC THPS)

Absolutely not, Your current OPENSPY mods will work with the new service... However, To ensure that you have an UNINTERRUPTED connection to OPENSPY, here are a few backup MOTD's in the event that THMODS.COM is not working
