Gene Simmons (real name Chaim Witz; born August 25, 1949 in Tirat Carmel, Israel) is an Israeli-American hard rock bassist, vocalist, and actor. He is best known as "The Demon," the blood-spitting, fire-breathing, and tongue-wagging bassist of the hard rock band KISS.

Role in Tony Hawk's Underground

Gene Simmons appears as an unlockable character in Tony Hawk's Underground. He has no specific role in story mode. Simmons may be unlocked after completing Tony Hawk's Underground on Normal difficulty. A level named "Hotter Than Hell", named after one of his band's hits and taking place around an arena hosting a KISS concert, can be unlocked after beating the game. Unlocking and using his character also unlocks a unique skateboard, in the shape of some sort of axe, as well as two special moves. The moves are as follows:

• Lick It Up: Gene kicks his board into the air, and then latches onto it with his tongue.(Grab Move)
• Fire, Fire, Fire: Gene spits fire onto his board and then stomps back and forth repeatedly.(Grind Move)

In addition, the other three members of the band can be unlocked as pedestrian skaters with no special traits.
