Darth Maul is featured on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 as a novelty character after completing all 54 goals, and gaining all gold medals on Career mode whilst playing as Tony Hawk. Alternatively, one can enter the cheat FREAKSHOW or YOHOMIES to unlock this character.

Origin

Darth Maul is a fictional character that appeared in the 1999 film, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. In this film, Darth Maul (played by Ray Park) is a minor antagonist and was well known for wielding a double-bladed lightsaber. While he only makes a minor appearance in the film, he remains an essential fixture within Star Wars lore.

Trivia

• When one selects Darth Maul in the main menu, the shopkeeper can be heard choking. This is a reference to the fact that the villainous side (The Dark Side of The Force) in which Darth Maul represents in the film was notorious for their ability to choke life forms - this was called Force Choke.
• One of the Darth Maul's special moves in-game is Force Grab.
• Darth Maul's stat points in career mode are called "force points".
• Darth Maul's Special trick "Dark Jedi Grind" sees him perform a Butterfly Kick (similar in appearance to a no handed cartwheel) while in a 50-50 grind. This could be seen as a reference to the Butterfly Kick being one of Darth Maul's most iconic moves. Fittingly, his actor in Phantom Menace, Ray Park, is a decorated martial arts practitioner, with Wushu being his specialty.
• Darth Maul has a unique bail recovery animation, which sees him spring up to his feet from the ground. The Neversoft Eyeball performs a similar motion in the Neversoft intro video.
• Performing his special Sith Saber Spin manual in certain levels will see him perform a revert animation instead.
