Robert Dean Silva "Bob" Burnquist (born October 10, 1976, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), is a Brazilian-American professional skateboarder. He is a playable Skater that has first appeared in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater up to Tony Hawk's Proving Ground. He also re-appears in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4.

He became adept at skateboarding in São Paulo starting at age 11 and turned pro at age 14. As an adult he moved to North America; he holds dual citizenship. He is also a vegetarian.
The biggest competition that he has won was the vert contest at the 2001 X-Games. Before his final run- the last run of the event- Burnquist was sitting in second place behind two-time defending champion Bucky Lasek. He produced a flawless run, including multiple tricks that had never been seen before, and as a result, were unnamed. During the run, commentator Tony Hawk went hoarse and nearly lost his voice while screaming in disbelief. He was rewarded with a 98, the highest score ever given in any X-Games skateboarding event.
Burnquist's speciality is switch stance skateboarding. He has always tried to find new ways to make his tricks more creative and more difficult. He has a signature trick called "one-footed smith grind". He has also been featured in the hit video game, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, and appeared in every game in main series up to Tony Hawk's Proving Ground, with the exception of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, due to a result of his appearance in another skateboarding game, ESPN X Games Skateboarding, during that year. Ironically THPS3 featured Bob's hometown level - Rio. He would not appear in the series again until Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2.

- In almost every one of Burnquist's game appearances, he can be seen wearing a hat of some style and glasses (He doesn't wear a hat in THUG, and forgoes glasses in THAW & THPS1+2); IN THPS1, 4, THUG2, THPG, and THPS1+2, he can be seen wearing a baseball cap. In THPS2, he can be see wearing a bucket hat, and in THAW and THP8, he can be seen wearing a beanie or toque.
- Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 is the only game in the Tony Hawk series where Burnquist is absent, even though his hometown is present, that's due to him being in another skateboarding game at the time, which was ESPN X Games Skateboarding.
- Interestingly enough, in the PlayStation version of the game, there is a leftover of his model and textures from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 in the files.
